Part 2

our first stay in Bahrain, in this hotel...

Hubby was promised a rented car by the company. According to the company, the car can be picked up at the airport. So, lepaih amek kunci keta, terhegeh2 lah kami dengan gerabak berbagai.


The company appointed a local named Aqil to lead us from the airport to the hotel. Another nice Bahrainian guy but talking to him was just like macam ayam cakap dgn kucen. Sorang berkokok , sorang mengiau. English bohliau...But he is also very friendly..Baik2 lah Arab Bahrain ni..akak rasa lega sangat. Arab yang kat Dubai tu depa arrogant lebey2..Ceh!!


Checked in the hotel about 2 pm....Konon2 la company reserved kan..mmg depa dah reserved but no deposit had been paid yet....hampeh! So we had to fork out our own money first. Luckily, we brought certain amount of cash but it was still in Dirham.

at the hotel lobby...tak berkenan decor deme ni...rambu ramba segala....the tent is called 'majlis'..tempat Arab lepak esp.during Ramadan, isap2 shisha lepaih berbuka....

Actually, once hubby decided to move out from UAE, the previous company made it compulsory for him to close all tha accounts he had there , including the credit card. Sebab tu tak bayor deposit pakai card. Walaupun menyusahkan , but akak suka dia dah tak de card.Bior le org kater I kuno, akak tak kisah..lebih save taw tak de card ni. Nak belanjer pun tak le membabi buta.

clown and monkey pun ada...comel monyet kecit ni, pipi kembong kiri kanan makan candy..cute..

Aqil pi teman hubby ke money exchange. Sib baik banyak la Mat arab ni ader..dia bagi pinjam kad money changer dia coz hubby tak de residence visa for money changer card yet. Banyak jasa ko Aqil tho akak raser dah sebulan dia tak gosok gigi..Tak baik akak kan..tapi memang betul, terserlah dan memancar2 kekuningannyer...ya ampunnnn..


So, with all the heavy luggage and boxes, berangkat le kami ke room 224. The boys were happy, terus main game, sorang layan komputer, sorang layan game boy...Itu je ler, dlm kepala otak dia org. Normal ke anak2 aku nih?

Alhamdulillah..first step settled. Babah dah kena start keje esok. So, akak layan tengok my feberet talk shows like Oprah, Ellen and Jay Leno kat bilik hotel..On Thursday, nak kena house hunting dah....ok..nanti sambung lain..

Bahrain ....here I come..

Part 1

Bahrain International Airport

Reached at Bahrain airport about 10.15 am.


Everything ran smoothly till we reached at the immigration counter.


Me and the two boys faced no problem...but the father of my kids lak, stranded...tak cukup document....waaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Hubby asked me to go ahead first to collect our luggage...I waited for few hours with three trolleys full of boxes and bags , sib baik abang2 Khan yang kurus2 cekeding nolong akak angkat all the big boxes and bags yg berat nye berkoyan2 itu...kesian lak akak nengok dia orang ni..but tellling u , depa pun memang tak sibuk sgt..just wonder, Bahrain International Airport sunyi sepi..tak de org travel kot? May be summer ni panaih piang suma cabut ke tempat sejuk..tak per, akak suka sangat tak ramai org gini...

After waiting time frame akak luput, I started to become very nervous. I was damned worried and prayed hard everything would go smoothly. Then suddenly, a local Bahraini , (I guess from the uniform he was wearing, he must be working at the airport)approached me in a very friendly manner asking me whether I faced any problem. Told him, laki I sangkut lagi kat ataih..the immigration officer needed original copy of one of the important doc...non ado lak yg ori..just had the photocopied one..adussss.. Allah makbulkan doa akak.. That Bahraini guy volunteered to check on my husband. Akak tak leh gi check coz dah keluor check point. Phone lak tak de lagi. baru dtg, tak register nomo lagi. Nasib baik lak Arab tu baik budi.. Tambah lak akak stress modal pames Malaysians kat Gulf ni, 'I am from Malaysia"..laju je dia gi..After few minutes he came and smiled to me.....Lega akak.."You dont worry, your husband said somebody from the company is on the way to deliver the original document in 15 minutes times..InsyaAllah within 30 minutes everything will be settled." Alhamdulillah...I thanked him and berdoa agar Allah permudahkan urusan nya jugak di kemudian hari..That is my first impression of Bahrain .The people are friendlier and helpful compared to Arab Dubai yg eksyen2 tuh. Good sign ..huh!
